LNPs are proven to be effective nanocarriers for delivering nucleic acid in vivo. The US FDA approval of multiple LNP‑based drug products catalyzed multiple clinical studies across disease indications covering various RNA modalities. However, the stability of LNPs has been a long‑lasting challenge. This Viewpoint article talks about reported observations of RNA‑LNP instability, methods to quantify, and ways to improve the drug product profile.
