Multiple CQAs from a single dataset: advancing lentiviral vector-based cell & gene therapy

As developers of lentiviral vector (LVV)-based cell and gene therapies continue to innovate, the demand for high-quality LVV is expected to rise significantly. This growing need necessitates advanced characterization techniques that can enable process development, providing improved performance, efficacy, and safety.

In this webinar, we will discuss the qualitative and quantitative capabilities of cryo-transmission electron microscopy (cryo-TEM) imaging, highlighting its unparalleled precision in characterizing the morphology, integrity, and composition of viral vectors, and its role in ensuring the high quality and efficacy of LVVs for therapeutic applications.

We will cover the entire workflow, from sample preparation and vitrification to automated image analysis using advanced Amira 3D software.

Attend this webinar to understand:

  • How cryo-TEM enables a detailed analysis of LVV critical quality attributes (CQAs) such as particle size, shape, surface area, and the presence of impurities
  • The process of vitrification and its importance in preserving sample integrity
  • How to achieve multiple CQA determination from a single cryo-TEM dataset
  • The identification and quantification of LVV impurities and their impact on gene therapy efficacy
