Dr. Sanjay Kumar is the NA head of Technical Excellence at Lonza Bioscience Media Solutions. In this role, he serves as a customer-facing subject matter expert (SME), collaborating closely with customers and internal Lonza teams to ensure the customers receive the best possible experience with Lonza products. Sanjay brings over 25 years of combined experience, with more than half of it in industry, and a passion for discussing science and solving problems. 

Prior to joining Lonza, he led the Custom Cell Engineering Services team at Thermo Fisher Scientific, partnering with customers to understand their needs and translate them into actionable strategies implemented by his scientific team. He brings a strong scientific foundation from his research on DNA replication and DNA damage responses in eukaryotes. His expertise spans cell culture development, genome editing, viral vector design, and advanced cell engineering.
