Collaboration in action: decentralized manufacturing to expand patient access in cell therapy

Decentralized manufacturing is emerging as a transformative strategy to expand access to cell therapies — but it requires new thinking, innovative technologies, and strong partnerships.

In this webinar, leaders from Lonza (Cocoon® Platform), Galapagos, Blood Centers of America, and Excellos will share how they are working together to enable practical decentralized models. The discussion will explore how community-based apheresis networks, high-quality starting material, and automated manufacturing platforms are being integrated to bring production closer to patients while safeguarding quality and compliance.

By combining access to well-characterized donor starting material, near-patient apheresis networks, and fit-for-purpose automated manufacturing, these organizations are building collaborative frameworks to deliver therapies more efficiently and at scale.

Attend this webinar to:

  • Understand how decentralized manufacturing models can improve patient access and reduce barriers to scale.
  • Learn how community apheresis networks and starting material expertise are enabling reliable near-patient collection and processing.
  • Explore how Lonza’s Cocoon® platform is being applied in decentralized settings to simplify manufacturing, ensure consistency, and support commercial growth.
  • Discover real-world insights and frameworks from Excellos, Galapagos, and BCA on implementing decentralized solutions that align science, operations, and patient needs.
