Emmanuel currently serves as the Vice President of Global Quality for BioBridge Global. BioBridge Global is a non-profit organization with three distinct operating subsidiaries that focus on donor-to-patient solutions. Emmanuel has been with the organization since 2017 and leads a team of ~60 quality professionals who support BioBridge Global and help ensure that the culture of quality is maintained Emmanuel has been a quality leader for 20 years in food safety, environmental sciences, and recently in the health and biotech industry leading various organizations through ISO, FDA, USDA, CLIA, EU, and TGA assessments and compliance inspections. Emmanuel is passionate about community involvement and civic engagement which led to his selection to LeadershipSA in 2022 for the 47th class. LeadershipSA is a leadership program that is co-sponsored by the Greater Chamber of Commerce and the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce in San Antonio.

Director Quality & Compliance for Advanced Therapies at BioBridge Global

As the Director, Quality & Compliance for Advanced Therapies, Joe’s responsibilities include implementing and ensuring adherence to GMP compliant procedures and practices within the Biomanufacturing operations team. Joe and his team ensure that all client projects are implemented and managed through our quality system and ensures appropriate quality investigations change management and CAPA measures are executed and documented. Previously, Joe was acting as part of BBG’s Quality Assurance Integration team overseeing day to day operations of the eQMS (MasterControl) and managing the incorporation of new modules, projects, and clients into the quality management system. Prior to joining BBG, Joe led the commercial QC analytical testing lab for Catalent Gene Therapies where his responsibilities included managing lab construction through a successful PAI for the first commercial gene therapy product. Prior to Catalent, he held multiple positions at AstraZeneca’s commercial biologics facility over a 10-year period, ranging from QC testing, commercial tech transfer operations, and QC laboratory supervisor.
