Many products in the cell and gene therapy space have intricate mechanisms of action, making it difficult for researchers and manufacturers to determine the attributes most critical to a product’s performance. Abigail Pinchbeck, Editor at BioInsights, speaks to the Cell and Gene Therapy Catapult’s Jonathan Appleby (Chief Scientific Officer) and John Churchwell (Associate Lead Scientist) about their work using process analytical technologies (PAT) to identify critical process parameters (CPPs) that correlate with critical quality attributes (CQAs), in order to increase process and product consistency and robustness.
